It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Pomaville on Friday November 18, 2022, in Las Cruces, NM. Mike was born on April 29, 1968, in Detroit, MI. He was a student at Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods, MI before moving to Las Cruces, NM in 1984, and graduating from Las Cruces High School in 1986.
Mike then went on to complete the Independent Electrical Contractors Apprenticeship Program (IEC) and obtain his Electrician’s License. He was employed most of his life as a Journeyman and Foreman for Christian Electric/Scott Pierce Electric. It was during this time that Mike met many friends and colleagues.
His smile and laugh were contagious and anyone who knows Mike, knows he was genuine, caring, and friendly to all he encountered. He was a diehard Denver Broncos, NASCAR, and Detroit Tigers fan. Mike loved being with family and friends. He liked to cook, cheer on his favorite sports teams, enjoyed visiting Ruidoso, NM, hanging out with his dog, Duke, and spending time at the lake.
Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Laura Difabio; stepfather, Dennis Difabio; stepmother, Tobi Pomaville; his maternal grandparents: Helen and Nick Stefanich; and his paternal grandparents: Marge and Elmer Pomaville.
Those left to cherish his memory are Mike’s loving girlfriend, Maria Sifuentes and her children Damien Sifuentes and Sky Arreola; his father, Raymond Pomaville (Linda Jacques); sister, Christine España (husband Gene España); brother, Craig Difabio (wife Holly Difabio). Mike also leaves behind his nephews, Evan España and family; Zachary España and family; and Aaron Bear. Nieces, Samantha España-Hall (husband James Hall); Cheyenne Difabio; and Paige Duket; along with numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Mike also held a special place in his heart for Justin Griffin and Jake Tannehill.
The family would like to thank everyone for their support, prayers, and contributions. Mike was truly loved by many, will be missed by all, but would want everyone to celebrate the life he lived.
