Margaret “Marge” Alice (Purdy) Coleman, 92, passed away on November 27, 2022, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was born in White Plains, New York to Alfred Lester Purdy and Margaret Anna Conklin. Marge was the youngest of three children and the most adventurous. She left New York at the young age 17 and settled in Las Cruces. Marge found and married the love of her life, Sidney (Buster) Andrew Coleman on February 6, 1948. Together they built an electrical business and raised six children.
Marge enjoyed time with family and her miniature schnauzer, Tuffy. She had a great sense of humor and loved it when everyone was happy. Marge also had many great friends that she enjoyed spending time with.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children Raymond “Butch” (Sharon) Coleman, Deb Apodaca, Sydney Lynn Canady, Tom (Tammy) Coleman, Paul (Rene) Coleman, Ted (Sis) Coleman.
She is survived by all children, fourteen grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents Alfred and Margaret Purdy, her husband, Buster Coleman, her daughter, Sydney Lynn Canady, her brother Raymond John Purdy, and her sister, Dorothy Ann (Purdy) Samford.
