With a heavy heart, we share the passing of our Beloved Mother Angie P. Mendoza at the age of 68-Years-Old in Las Cruces, New Mexico surrounded by her loving family. Angie was born May 28, 1954, to Rafael & Elizabeth (Mami) Padilla in Santa Rita, New Mexico.
Angie had a passion for cooking, she will be greatly missed for her Famous Green Enchiladas, Salsas, and Guacamole. Angie treasured every moment she got to spend with her mother and siblings at the family gatherings. The greatest enjoyments were spending time with her Husband Mario, Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Mom took a great role in raising all her Grandchildren.
She loved to go for That Sunday Cruise with the Oldies blasting in the background, can’t forget about those shades!!! She was active in sports from T-Ball coaching to playing softball herself. She was a Dallas Cowboy Fan and occasionally rooted for the Denver Broncos.
Angie will be greatly missed by her family, friends, compardes & comadre, which she loved all like family.
Angie is survived by her daughters: Angelica Almaraz (Armando), Maryesther Romero (Ivan), Grandchildren Jose Andres Reyes III, Guadalupe Domingo Reyes, Julio Reyes, Yvonne Monique Romero, Marlinda Montoya, Ivan Montoya. Great Grandchildren: Gabbana Monroe Romero, Elias Krue Almaraz (Pepito). She is survived by her loving Brothers and Sisters: Stella (Andres), Nancy (Ralph), Manuel, Consuelo, Rachel, Ralphie JR, Cynthia as well as several nieces, nephews, Godchildren and Cousins.
Angie is preceded in Death by Her Loving Husband of 33 Years Mario Mendoza, her son Guadalupe (Vido) Hernandez JR. Parents: Rafael & Elizabeth (Mami) Padilla, Grandson Ralph Edward Romero JR, Sister Molly Guzman, and brother Ralph Padilla.
Angie’s Celebration of life will be held at St. Genevieve’s Catholic Church, located at 100 S Espina St, Las Cruces, New Mexico On Friday May 26, 2023.Rosary will start at 10:00 AM with a mass to follow at 10:30 AM.
