Lynn Dale McGuire (83) passed away March 17, 2023. Lynn was born on December 31, 1939, in Hollis Oklahoma. He graduated from the Dora Consolidated Schools in New Mexico and then went on to earn a teaching certificate from Eastern New Mexico University.
Lynn lived in Ruidoso, New Mexico where he taught school and later embraced his entrepreneurial spirit and successfully started several businesses which includes a ski shop. There he met the love of his life, Margaret (Meg) Elizabeth McGuire. Lynn and Meg spent time in Arizona before settling in Las Cruces. Lynn was an active member of Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
He was a loving and devoted husband, brother and stepfather.
Lynn is preceded in death by his mother and father, Walter and Ethel McGuire, and his wife, Meg McGuire.
Lynn leaves behind his sister, Neva Rousselot and three stepchildren, H Jay Freeman (Sharla), Tracey Hymer (John), and Trinna Thompson (Robert), four grandchildren, Jay Ryan Freeman, Preston Freeman, Aaron Hymer, and Brittany Hymer, and seven great grandchildren.
At his request a cremation has taken place and a service in his memory will be held at Hill Baptist Church, Las Cruces, NM at 10:00 am. Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
