It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Ernestina “Tinnie” Martinez.
Tinnie went to be with our heavenly Father on August 31, 2023. Tinnie was born on April 25, 1938, to Jose and Ernestina Barela of Las Cruces, NM.
Tinnie is survived by her husband and best friend of 66 years, Joe Martinez. Tinnie and Joe had four children together, Robert Joe Martinez, Barbara Martinez, Nadine Martinez, and Jose Martinez (Jeanette), all of Las Cruces NM. Tinnie’s greatest legacy will be her 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Tinnie will be remembered for her delicious home cooked meals (especially Chile Colorado Con Carne), how much she loved to dance, and the love she shared with her family.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday September 18th at 10:00am at Getz Funeral Home.
