Abran R. Martinez, 62, of Las Cruces, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013. He was born Jan. 25, 1951 in Hanover, NM. and was a veteran of the US Marine Corp where he served our country honorably. Abran R. Martinez, 62, of Las Cruces, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013. He was born Jan. 25, 1951 in Hanover, NM. and was a veteran of the US Marine Corp where he served our country honorably. He is survived by his loving wife Rafaela of the family home; sons Abran and Daniel; brothers Raymundo, Luis and Jose; sisters Estela, Rita, Margie and Micaela and by his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 pm. A funeral mass to celebrate his life is at 2 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church with the Augustinian Recollects officiating.
