Alan made Las Cruces his home. Alan was trained as a Journeyman Electrician and found great joy in teaching

father and grandfather,...

Alan Charles Quigley passed away at his home on March 1, 2023. Born and raised in Wakefield, Massachusetts,

Alan made Las Cruces his home. Alan was trained as a Journeyman Electrician and found great joy in teaching

generations of electricians at the Southern New Mexico Independent Electrical Contractors. A loving husband,

father and grandfather, he was a passionate woodworking hobbyist and furniture creator. He loved teaching his

children and grandchildren to drive and share his experience in skilled trades in developing a strong work ethic. He

found joy in all things outdoors such as camping, hiking and kayaking.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Brenda Brown-Quigley, daughters Shaylene Maag, Amber Christie [husband

Eric], and Whitney Stevenson-Porter [husband Daniel], parents-in-law Floyd and Linda Brown, six grandchildren

and one great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. Also left to cherish his memory are his brothers

and sisters Paul J. Quigley of Lynn, MA, Kathleen M. Conn of Billerica, MA, David C. Quigley of Dracut, MA, and

Nancy A. Ficarra of Billerica, MA. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Muriel Quigley.

Alan brought together men from all walks of life by establishing a local chapter of the Mankind Project. Hundreds

of men became his brother as he opened his home and garage to help men live authentic lives.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Southern New Mexico Independent Electrical Contractors, 2215 S.

Main St. C., Las Cruces, NM 88005 as a scholarship in Alan's name will be established. A celebration of life will be

planned at a future date and time.
