Albina P. Carabajal 86, passed away peacefully at Casa de Oro surrounded by her family on October 14, 2021. Albina was born in Tortugas, New Mexico to Angelita P. Carabajal and Felipe Carabajal on July 22, 1935. She was a member or Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a Tribal Member of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo in Ysleta, Texas. Albina worked as a Homemaker for forty plus years for the Vickers/Byrd Family who became like her family throughout the years where she resided in Brazito, NM. Albina is proceeded in death by her parents Angelita P. Carabajal and Felipe Carabajal, siblings, Felipe (Phillip) Carabajal Jr, Carmen C. Orta, Rosa Apodaca and Guadalupe P. Carabajal. Albina is survived by daughter Susie C, Barela (Martin), son Augustin (Gus) R. Gonzalez, grandson Martin A. Barela (Krystle), granddaughter Mia Aria Barela, Siblings, Fermina C. Paz, Carolina Carabajal, Ernestina Carabajal, Margarita Carabajal and Jose Maria (Joe) Carabajal. Serving as Casket Bearers include Martin A. Barela, Laura C. Elmquist, Rafael C. Paz, Delia C. Salayandia, Sonia C. Lozos and Xavier C. Paz. Honorary Casket Bearers include Joshua Zepeda, David Mendoza and John Byrd. Visitation for Albina will begin at 6:00 pm Tuesday, October 19, 2021 with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm at the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 3600 Paroquia St. Las Cruces, NM 88001 (Tortugas) Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday October 20, 2021 at 10:00 am same location with Fr.
