Alfred O. Ordunez, 84, of Mesquite, NM died Friday, January 11, 2013. He was born July 31, 1928 in Chamberino, NM to Francisco and Gregoria Ortega Ordunez. He had retired for Helena Chemical Company with more than 50 years of faithful service. He enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard but his passion was for his family. Alfred O. Ordunez, 84, of Mesquite, NM died Friday, January 11, 2013. He was born July 31, 1928 in Chamberino, NM to Francisco and Gregoria Ortega Ordunez. He had retired for Helena Chemical Company with more than 50 years of faithful service. He enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard but his passion was for his family. Alfredo will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his four daughters Lorraine Udero and Patsy Favela both of Phoenix, AZ, Genevieve "Jan" Ramirez and husband Oscar of Chandler. AZ and Manuelita De Luna and husband Charlie of Mesa, AZ; sisters Catalina Nevarez and Maggie Ruiz both of Las cruces; grandchildren Rita, Tricia, Karina, Corine, James, Nicole, Isla, Felicia, Gabriel and Julissa and by his great-grandchildren Cristian, Haley, Tyler, Ava, Savannah, Leilani and Luke. Also surviving Alfredo is his best friend and companion "Lilo" his dog. Alfredo is preceded in death by his loving wife Corine Ordunez, daughter Toni Ordunez, brothers Frank Ordunez and Ruben Ortega and sister Maria Carbajal. A visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10 am on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church where a prayer vigil and funeral mass will follow at 10 am with Fr. Narciso Rivera officiating. Rite of Committal will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The honor of being a pallbearer goes to James and Nicole De Luna, Corine Udero, Gabriel Favela, Franky Ordunez and Jesse Butkivich. Honorary Pallbearers are the Grandsons and son-in-laws.
