Andrea V. Rodriguez, 76, lifelong resident of the Mesilla Valley, died Thursday, May 5, 2005. She was born June 19, 1928 in Hill, NM to Andres and Pascuala Morales Villegas. Andrea loved the outdoors where she did gardening, hunting, fishing and camping but her joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. Andrea V. Rodriguez, 76, lifelong resident of the Mesilla Valley, died Thursday, May 5, 2005. She was born June 19, 1928 in Hill, NM to Andres and Pascuala Morales Villegas. Andrea loved the outdoors where she did gardening, hunting, fishing and camping but her joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son Robert Rodriguez and wife Diana; daughter Mary Lou and husband David; brothers Jose Villegas and wife Rita and Marcos Villegas; sisters Juanita Costales and husband Benny, Connie Chavez and husband Pete and Lydia Holguin and husband Jerry all of Las Cruces. She is also survived by grandchildren Robert, Roxanne, Rachael, Chris and Celina and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Andrea was preceded in death by her husband Raul L. Rodriguez and by brothers Samuel and Felix Villegas. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Monday, May 9, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer service will follow at 7:00 PM. The funeral service is at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at Primera Iglesia Bautista with Rev. James Underwood officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
