Angela A. Rosales "Angie", 73, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away November 8, 2021, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, surrounded by her loved ones and in the comfort of her home. She will most definitely be remembered for her delicious food, for her generosity and her kind and unselfish way of life. When her friends and family read this, they will all remember her "Angelic" voice, as she truly had the voice of an Angel. Her voice and her food made life better. Angela began her career at Southern New Mexico Legal Services in the 70's. She later worked with the 3rd Judicial District Attorney's office as a Victims Advocate and ultimately retired from the State of New Mexico Attorney General's Office, where again, she was an Advocate. She was the voice for many victims, when they were unable to speak for themselves.
Angie treasured every minute with her children and grandchildren. That was until her great-grandchildren were born and then they took over. Angie was the beloved mother of 3 children, loving grandmother to 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. Being with family was everything to her. Even when she was having a rough day and in pain, she
would find the strength to be with them. Throughout her life, she was known for taking in anybody who needed a place to stay or just someone to talk to. She will always be remembered for her kindness, lovingness & humility. She left behind the precious gift of "Faith" to her chil...

She took great pride in her children and in the unity of her family. She was the foundation of the family and leaves behind an amazing legacy. Paul bearers will be, Andy Zapien Jr., Angel Zapien, Dominic Rosales, Javier Cruz Rosales, Nick Rosales and Bob Soto. Honorary Paul bearers will be her granddaughters Danae and Marisa Rosales.
Angie was born in El Paso, Texas on October 22, 1948. She was a proud graduate of Gadsden High School and made sure everyone knew she was a "Pantera". She is preceded in death by her parents, John L. Mendes; father, Trinidad Mendes; mother; Tommy Mendes, brother; Lupe Mendes, sister. She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel G. Rosales, who stood by her side every step of her journey. Angie is also survived by three children, Suzie Zapien (Anthony), Dan Rosales Jr. (Sandie), Javier Rosales (Rainbeaux). Siblings: Emilia Harris, Belen Soto, Georgina Scott (Jimmy), Josie Hall (Mat), Maria Mendes of Las Cruces and Teresa Gallegos (Art), of San Antonio, Texas, Carlos Alvarado (Angie), Angel Alvarado (Martha) of Albuquerque, and John Mendes, Jr., (Diane), Las Cruces.
A visitation will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, Monday, November 29, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. A prayer vigil will be held at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Martin Cordero will preside over the funeral liturgy at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at Hillcrest Cemetery 5140 W Picacho Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88007
