Angie Fernandez Puckett, 47 years of Winston-Salem, N.C., died Thursday, July 27, 2006. Angie was born March 8, 1959 in Las Cruces, NM to Elizandro and Gloria Fernandez. She attended and graduated from Mayfield High School and went on to work at Sara Lee Hosiery in Mesilla Park. She made the move to Las Vegas, Nevada and for the last six years in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Angie worked for Sara Lee for over 26 years. She was a member of the Catholic Church and will be dearly missed. Angie is survived by her husband, Shane; one son Eddie Fernandez of Las Vegas, NV; her parents, Elizandro and Gloria Fernandez of Las Cruces, NM; one sister, Julie Morales and her husband Rosendo of Las Cruces, NM; her mother in law, Phyllis Perry of La Palma, California. Also surviving Angie are two grandchildren, Clarissa Fernandez and Eddie Fernandez Jr.; and a niece, Jessica Morales. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive her. Angie was preceded in death by a nephew, Victor Fernandez Singh. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 PM on Sunday, August 6, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel where the Prayer Vigil will follow at 7 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 AM on Monday, August 7, 2006 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina, Las Cruces. The Rite of Committal and Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Serving, as pallbearers will be Shane Puckett, Eddie Fernandez, Mark Caballero, Enrique Aguirre, and Luis and Enrique Hernandez. Remember her as a beautiful and happy person, caring and giving to everyone she knew and always with a sense of humor. She was a loving wife. Proud of her son and happy to be a grandmother. Her love of the outdoors and being around people made her a blessing. She was also a very loving person who was loved by all. Angie "OUR ANGEL", we love you, you will be missed.
