Anita Leann McGuire, 52, passed away on August 31st, 2018 in Las Cruces, NM. She was born in Tulia, Texas, October 8th, 1965 and was the daughter of Ginna and David Sanders. Anita Leann McGuire, 52, passed away on August 31st, 2018 in Las Cruces, NM. She was born in Tulia, Texas, October 8th, 1965 and was the daughter of Ginna and David Sanders. Anita is survived by her Mother Ginna, brother Lee Sanders, Sister Rachel Jordan-Shuss, daughters Emily McGuire, Megan McGuire, niece Hannah Sanders, aunts and uncles, Gwen and Howard Edelman, Wayne Sanders and Larry Jordan. Cousins, Lacie Jordan Schaunaman and Ryan Jordan. Anita is predeceased by her father, David Sanders, on December 27, 2008. Anita graduated from Alamogordo Senior High School and was active in cheer leading and cross country running. She earned her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree at New Mexico State University and a Masters of Science Nursing degree at the University of New Mexico. Anita held nursing positions ranging from Emergency room, pediatrics and in home care during her career. An active ZTA member during college, she remained engaged with the sorority throughout her life. Anita could best be described by her family and friends as having a huge heart. Always giving and caring for others. A celebration of Anita's life will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001.
