It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anita Seaburgh on January 16th, 2021, due to complications of dementia. Loving Mother, Grandmother, "little" Grandma, Auntie Nani, and best friend at the age of 93.75. Anita was born on February 7th 1927 in Las Cruces, NM to Manuel Z. and Margarita A. Salas. She retired from the State of New Mexico where she worked 15 years as a Home Health Provider. But it was her second job that she loved the most, the Flea Market. She loved to sell and trade, meet and talk to all kinds of people, and made longtime friends. She retired from the Flea Market after 35 years. Anita had a full and wonderful life with many adventures. Disneyland, Disney World, Rose Parade, baseball games-San Diego Padres, Anaheim Angels, LA Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks. Thanksgiving with the Dallas Cowboys. Las Vegas casinos and shows. Her favorite concert was Rod Stewart in Albuquerque and shaking Former President Bill Clinton's hand in Chicago. Anita's greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Whatever sport they played, she was there. Anita never missed a family party with good food and Mexican music, especially 4th of July. Survived by her six children and their spouse/partner, Anna Serna, Alice Cota (Jimmy), Robert (Linda), Michael (Gary), Jerry (Dina) and Joseph (Greg). Her brother Alfonso Salas, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and Auntie Nani to many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held January 26th, 2021 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church where Anita was a communicant and parish member. Cremation will take place and interment will be at a later date.
