Anne McCandless Johnson, 87, of Las Cruces, NM, a long time El Paso resident, passed away on November 7, 2005. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Anne moved to Port Arthur, TX in 1937, El Paso in 1961, and Las Cruces in 2002. Anne was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church of El Paso, St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Las Cruces, and Soroptimist Clubs in El Paso and Las Cruces. She was preceded in death by her parents James B. McCandless and Marguerite Andersen McCandless of Philadelphia, her sister Elizabeth Osborne, her husband Robert B. Johnson, daughter Sherrye Johnson Krienke, and son Bert Johnson. She is survived by her daughter Jane Lowenhaupt of Las Cruces and son Bruce Johnson of San Antonio, grandchildren Jeffrey & David Johnson, Tracey and Ashley Lowenhaupt, Mark and Elizabeth Krienke, and six great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, Sunland Park, NM on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Loyd Cain officiating.
