Tony served his Country in the United States Army and took great pride in being a Veteran by remaining active in many Veteran Organizations. Anthony L. Aranda Sr., 61 of Las Cruces, NM died April 4, 2009 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center. He was born October 23, 1947 in Walsenburg, CO to Lee and Della Aranda. Tony served his Country in the United States Army and took great pride in being a Veteran by remaining active in many Veteran Organizations. He loved being in the outdoors fishing, camping, tending to his yard, and of course his favorite playing tennis. Tony had a great passion to help others and put a smile on their faces. Whether coaching the Lynn Middle School Cougars Tennis team, or taking his trusted friend "Diego" the therapy dog around town for visits, he always put others first, and this is when he truly shinned. He will be missed by his family and friends, those he coached, and those that could count on him to put a smile on their face. Tony is survived by his son, Anthony L.
