Antonia Medina

Antonia Medina, 68, of Las Cruces, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011. "Cachis" as she was fondly known was born March 13, 1943 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Francisco and Antonia Garcia. She enjoyed cooking, computers and watching her novellas on TV. Antonia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Joel Medina of the family home; sons Martin Medina and wife Anna and Marco Medina; daughters Irene Medina, Mercy Medina and Cristina Garcia and husband Antonio; brother Abelardo Garcia. She is also survived by her grandchildren Manuel and wife Rebecca, Jorge, Betty, Angel, Cristy, Jessica, Nico and Ricardo and by her great-granddaughter Natalie. Antonia was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Pablo and Salvador Garcia and sisters Mercedes and Carolina Garcia. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM today Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at Getz Funeral Home where her prayer vigil will follow at 7 PM. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, Nov. 2011 also at Getz Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. The honor of being a pallbearer goes to Marco and Martin Medina, Jorge and Manuel Carlos, Nicholas Saucedo and Antonio Gaytan. PDF Printable Version
