Antonio Fierro, 88 of Mesilla, NM passed away September 28, 2016 at Desert Peaks Assisted Living. He was born December 22, 1927 in Tortugas, NM to Miguel and Ramona Fierro. He is preceded in death by his wife Dora Fierro, their daughter Viola Fierro and their grandson Antonio Fierro. Antonio Fierro, 88 of Mesilla, NM passed away September 28, 2016 at Desert Peaks Assisted Living. He was born December 22, 1927 in Tortugas, NM to Miguel and Ramona Fierro. He is preceded in death by his wife Dora Fierro, their daughter Viola Fierro and their grandson Antonio Fierro. He is survived by his two sons, Tony and wife Irene and Lawrence and wife Laura both of Mesilla Park, NM; two daughters, Esther Sanchez and husband Cliff of Belen, NM and Paula Fierro-James and husband Seddrick of Woodbridge, VA. 10 grandchildren: Marlena, Andrea, Arianna, Tomas, Elam, Amber, Amy, Andruw, David and Meiko Rae and by 19 great grandchildren: Gabriella, Bella, Lydia, Sonya, Mia, Sofia, Alexandra, Adan, Diego, Rudy, Caleb, Hosea, Josiah, Jessika, Emilio, Carlos, Shayla, Athan and Ta'Janae. A visitation will be held Monday, October 3, 2016 , at Getz Funeral Home from 5:00pm with a rosary to follow at 7:00 pm . Mass will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2016 , at 10:00 am at San Albino Catholic Church in Mesilla, NM. Burial will follow at San Albino Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons Tomas Sanchez, Elam Sanchez, Andruw Fierro and his nephews Joe Fierro, Michael Fierro and Leo Granillo, Jr. The family would like to deeply thank his early caregivers and the caring staff at Desert Peaks Assisted Living and Mesilla Valley Hospice for the wonderful dedication and love they showed our father.
