Antonio "Tony" L. Lujan Jr. 69, of Mesilla, NM died Tuesday, October 3, 2006. He was born January 14, 1937 in Las Cruces to Antonio and Erlinda Lujan Sr. Tony was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and gardening. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his two sons Larry Lujan and Tony Lujan Jr. both of Las Cruces; three daughters Sylvia Hernandez and husband David, Beatrice Maese and Lydia Lujan all of Las Cruces; brothers Ismael "Mayo" Lujan, Willie Lujan both of Las Cruces and David Lujan of Mesilla, NM; sisters Mary Lou Rel and husband Blas, Stella Ramirez and husband Joe, Severa Soto and husband Charlie all of Las Cruces, Aurora Saenz and Minnie Lujan both of Mesilla, NM; grandchildren Stephanie, Steven, Jake, Zack, Amy, Jordan, Katrina, Kamala, April, Will James and Cassandra. Tony is also survived by his great-granddaughter Serenity and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Lujan was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Reymundo. A visitation will be held from 5 to7 PM on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 PM. The funeral mass is at 9:00 AM on Friday, October 6, 2006 at San Albino Catholic Church with Fr. Franklin Eichhorst, OFM, Cap officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at San Albino Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Hernandez, Tony, Debbie and Hector Lujan, Mariano Martinez and Richard Zuniga.
