Arderie Owens, 82, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013. He was born Jan. 28, 1931 in Grady, Arkansas. To Samuel and Hazel Williams Owens. He enjoyed music and playing the harp, loved baseball and watching westerns, but his passion was for his family who will forever love and miss him. Arderie Owens, 82, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013. He was born Jan. 28, 1931 in Grady, Arkansas. To Samuel and Hazel Williams Owens. He enjoyed music and playing the harp, loved baseball and watching westerns, but his passion was for his family who will forever love and miss him. He is survived by his two brothers Sonny Seals of Houston, Texas and John Odell Seals and wife Jackie of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters Darlene Dulaney of Little Rock, Arkansas and Sirca Morris of Jackson, Mississippi and by several grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and by a special friend Joe Bell. Arderie was preceded in death by his loving wife Fay, son Arderie Owens Jr., his parents and brother Ester V. Owens. A visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Getz Funeral Home, with a funeral service to celebrate his life will follow at 11 am with Elder Cleo Bell officiating.
