Arthur M. Scott, 88, died May 17, 2014 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Mr. Scott was born September 17, 1925 in Larned, Kansas to Monroe and Mildred Scott. After high School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp., was commissioned as 2nd Lt., and served as a pilot and flight instructor during WWII. Mr. Scott was a teacher at LCHS for thirty-three years. He taught Physics, General Science and served as Head of the Science Department. Arthur was preceded in death by his loving wife of more than 60 years, Katherine "Honey" Scott. He is survived by his children, Mary K. Chartier, and sons Charles E. Scott, and David W. Scott, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be immediately followed by a gathering of friends at University Methodist Church at 4:00 PM Friday, June 20, 2014.
