Aurora Chavez Aguirre

Aurora Chavez Aguirre, 78, a resident of Arrey, passed away at Memorial Medical Center on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. She was born on June 3, 1937 in Durango, Mexico and was raised in El Valle de Allende, Chihuahua. Dona Aurora (fondly known by everyone) loved spending time with her family and friends. Her love, kindness, endless giving and joy for music are gifts that she shared with all. She will be missed by everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents (Dionicio Chavez and Hijinia Ojeda Chavez) and her husband, Francisco O. Aguirre. Dona Aurora is survived by her children: Ruben (Silvia), Tony (Vanessa), Esther (Chris Stewart), Lilly (Cecilio Requejo), Frank (ToniLynn), Robert, Rita and Saul Aguirre (Mary Esther). She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren: Cindy, Rachel, Yvette, Ruben, Little Tony, Jaime (Doe-Doe), Tatiana, BriAnna, Samantha, Michael, Krystal, Marcus, Chris, Marissa, Kari, Saulito, Daniel, Ryan, Aaron and 18 great-grandchildren. Serving as pall bearers are her grandsons: Saulito, Chris and Ruben Aguirre, Michael and Marcus Requejo, Aaron Stewart. Honorary pall bearers will be the rest of her grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces. Visitation/Rosary will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015, 5:00-7:00 p.m., at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Garfield. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., also at San Ysidro Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest at the Arrey Community Cemetary. PDF Printable Version
