Barbara E. Lessor, 63, of Las Cruces, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. She was born April 3, 1943 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Barbara was the original owner of the Mutt Hutt here in Las Cruces. She was a supporter of the Animal Shelter and was active with the Humane Society and Cowboys for Cancer. Barbara E. Lessor, 63, of Las Cruces, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. She was born April 3, 1943 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Barbara was the original owner of the Mutt Hutt here in Las Cruces. She was a supporter of the Animal Shelter and was active with the Humane Society and Cowboys for Cancer. She was also a huge collector of frogs. Barbara will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her two sons Chuck Brassell Jr and wife Staci of Denver, CO and Robert Jarvis and wife Lilibeth of Commack, NY; daughters Kathie Montoya and husband Jake and Barbara Benjamin and husband Charlie all of Las Cruces; grandchildren Bruce, Tyler, Joshua, Stephanie, Brianna and Blake as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving her are her pets whom she loved dearly Fancy, Ms. Jiggles, P. Body, Daffy, Bambi, G-Man, Max, Boo-Boo, Gramps and Tom the Cat. Her mother Barbara Jean Verges preceded Barbara in death. Memorial Services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home. The family request that donations be made to a charity of choice in Barbara's memory.
