Bernice Bobo, 97, of Las Cruces and formerly of Kermit, TX, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008. She was born Nov. 4, 1910 in Oklahoma to Billy Frank and Emma Alice Lankford. Bernice was part owner/operator along with her husband J.C. of Bo's Plumbing in Kermit, TX and had been a member of Eastside Church of Christ where she stayed active until coming to Las Cruces. She enjoyed the outdoors working in her garden, reading, sewing, cooking and working on puzzles. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son John D. Wysong and wife Sharon of Dallas, TX and daughter Alice Richardson of Las Cruces; grandchildren Allen Wysong and wife Sue, Vince Wysong and wife Robin and Mindy Henry and husband Dan. Also surviving her are 9 grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years J.C. Bobo, three sisters Lois Hill, Leona Conley, Ruth Burkhart and son-in-law Donald D. Richardson. Graveside Services to celebrate her life will be at 10:AM on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 at Masonic Cemetery with family friend Dean Peugh officiating. PDF Printable Version
