Send Flowers Bertha M Merker September 3, 1937 - September 10, 2015 Bertha Delgado-Merker was 78 years old when Jesus called her home on September 10, 2015. She was born in San Miguel, NM on September 3, 1937. Bertha was one of nine brothers and sisters: Inez Turner, Ezell Thibodeaux, Frank Kaufman, Abbey Culbertson, Katherine Menard, Frank Dominguez Jr., Bobby Dominguez, and Barbara York. She was a life-long resident of Las Cruces, NM where she worked at JC Penney and retired after more than 20 years of service. Bertha's greatest accomplishment was loving and giving to her family and friends. Bertha was survived by her four daughters: Bertha Kaminski and her husband Jim of Chandler, Arizona; Diana Ramondo and her husband Juan of Lancaster, California; Carrie Gursky and her husband Larry of Vinton, Texas; and Ana Maria Brister and her husband Russell of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She had 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, her pride and joy! Grandchildren are: Frances Meza, Daniel Cook, Jaci Ramondo, Ben Gursky, Tim Gursky, Christopher Armenta, Chrystal Harris, Candace Valenzuela, Curtis Childress Jr., Colby Brister and Brenda Brister. Bertha's celebration service will be Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Getz Funeral Home. Jim Kaminski, Cy Baker and Russell Brister will officiate the service. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are Juan Ramondo, Larry Gursky, Christopher Armenta, Curtis Childress Jr., Ben Gursky, Tim Gursky, Daniel Cook, Colby Brister and Gary Lee York. Graveside service will immediately follow at Hillcrest Gardens.
