Betty Sue MacKenzie, 66, of Las Cruces, NM, died Thursday, April 19, 2007. She was born in Douglas, AZ, on March 22, 1941, to George and Lorena Pendleton. Betty Sue was raised on a ranch in Cloverdale, NM. Betty Sue MacKenzie, 66, of Las Cruces, NM, died Thursday, April 19, 2007. She was born in Douglas, AZ, on March 22, 1941, to George and Lorena Pendleton. Betty Sue was raised on a ranch in Cloverdale, NM. Later in life, Betty Sue became an active member of the Arizona Cowbelles, as well as serving as an active volunteer for Cowboys for Cancer Research in Las Cruces. Betty Sue was a strong, beautiful woman that had a great love for family. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends who knew and loved her. Betty Sue is survived by her mother, Lorena Pendleton, of Las Cruces, NM; stepmother, Barbara Pendleton, of Silver City, NM; two daughters, Kas MacKenzie, of Albuquerque, NM; Lynn Bagwell and husband Ed, of Las Cruces, NM; one brother, George Pendleton and wife Diane, of Las Cruces, NM; one sister, Jewell Eva Gardner and husband Jeremy, of Silver City, NM; and four grandchildren, Madeline Kemp, Meredith Kemp, Ryan Bagwell and Lilly Bagwell. She was preceded in death by her father, George Pendleton, and one brother, Tom Pendleton.
