Billie Ruth Walker peacefully and gracefully embraced her passing on Thursday June 5, 2008. Formerly a resident of Moberly, Missouri, Billie, and her husband of 67 years, Donald, made Las Cruces, New Mexico their home in 1979. She was born in High Hill, Missouri, on January 22, 1923 to Mabel & Rex Burgher. She enjoyed and excelled at golf, bowling and poker and deeply appreciated spending time with her friends. She cherished her role as wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and is survived by her husband Donald, son Donald Walker Jr., daughter June and her husband Hernan Ciudad, and daughter Patricia Nute. Grandchildren include: Scott Nute; Tina Thompson and her husband Wiley Thompson; Hernan Ciudad; Todd Nute; J.P. Ciudad and his wife Charlotte Ciudad; and Sara Walker. Great Grandchildren: Noah and Isabelle Thompson; and Elias Ciudad. As Donald would say, and Billie would agree, not every moment was perfect, but every memory is golden.
