Carla F. Pennock

Carla Florine Pennock, 84, of Las Cruces, NM passed peacefully Monday, June 6, 2011 at Mesilla Valley La Posada Hospice Center with family by her side. Carla was born September 22, 1926 in Clayton New Mexico to Floyd and Eunice Crist. Carla spent most her life in Clayton, NM as a loving Mother and Housewife, then moving to Las Cruces in 1970. In Las Cruces she worked at the White House, later becoming manager of Sweetbriars in the old Loretto Center. In time, Sweetbriars promoted her to a Western US District Manager. A position she held for many years before retiring. Carla is survived by; one son Roy Pennock, Jr of Las Cruces and one daughter, Gaylene Hooper and her husband Jamie of Las Cruces. Also surviving Carla are two grandchildren, Sean Pennock and Justin Stevens, and three great grandchildren, Aden and Colin Pennock; and Kevin Stevens; she has two surviving brothers Garland and Ronald along with many nieces and nephews. Carla was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roy Sr., along with five brothers, Neal, Wade, Gary, Dale and Douglas. At Carla's request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be at 9 am on Wed, June 15th, 2011 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel. Her ashes will be interred at Ft.
