Carlos M. "Charlie, Chino" Giron, 66 years old passed away on Saturday March 16, 2013 at his El Paso home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 2, 1947 in Cd., Juarez Mexico to Carlos and Maria Giron. Carlos is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Genevieve Padilla Giron; sons Carlos M. Giron Jr., and his wife Missy, Joe F. Giron and his wife Patsy, and Benjamin Giron...
Carlos M. "Charlie, Chino" Giron, 66 years old passed away on Saturday March 16, 2013 at his El Paso home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 2, 1947 in Cd., Juarez Mexico to Carlos and Maria Giron. Carlos is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Genevieve Padilla Giron; sons Carlos M. Giron Jr., and his wife Missy, Joe F. Giron and his wife Patsy, and Benjamin Giron; brothers and sister, Oscar, Robert, Sal, Pete; sisters Yolanda Gale of El Paso and formally of Dona Ana and Hatch, New Mexico; Carlos is also survived by his grandchildren, Carlos III, Mary, John, Alex, Joey, C.J., Savannah, Rey, Sabrina and Aaron. Great-granddaughter, Peyton Blake. Carlos was preceded in death by his parents Carlos and Maria Giron, brother Mario Franco. Carlos was employed for 42 years at Featherlite BLDG. Prod. He attended school in the Hatch Valley Public Schools where he was chief of The Ayani Indian Dance Club. The family asks that in lieu of flowers to please donate blood in his name. Special thanks to the staff of UMC, ICU, and Envision Hospice for the care provided. Serving as Casket Bearers will be Carlos III, John, Joey, C.J., Rey, and Jose Luis. Honorary will be Alex, Mary, Savannah, Sabrina, Aaron Charles. Visitation for will be from 6-7pm Thursday March 21, 2013 at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church in Hatch, New Mexico, where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 pm, Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday March 22, 2013 also at the same church, burial will follow at Rincon Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
