She was born July 16, 1926 in Talpa Guadalajara. She married the love of her life Arturo O. Pena on June 12, 1944 at the Cathedral of Guadalajara. Today the Lord has picked another rose from his garden to add to his bouquet. Carmen S. Pena joined her Lord on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, to walk beside him. She was born July 16, 1926 in Talpa Guadalajara. She married the love of her life Arturo O. Pena on June 12, 1944 at the Cathedral of Guadalajara. As a mother of six she instilled morals and work ethics into her children. She will be forever loved and missed by all her family and many friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son Kieron A. Pena Sr. and Sandra Oliver and companion Mario Cisernos, Martha Rodriguez and husband Ernest Rodriguez and Kenlynn Lucero and husband Charles Lucero Jr. Also surviving her is a sister Juana Telles, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Carmen was preceded in death by her loving husband Arturo O. Pena, son Arturo Pena Jr., daughter Ethel Vanegas and brother-in-law Tony Telles. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, Sept. 5, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 PM. Carmen's funeral mass to celebrate her life will be at 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral with Fr. Martin Cordero officiating. Rite of Committal will be at San Jose Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carmen's grandsons.
