Carol Ann Brown died on June 23, 2006 at Mesilla Valley Hospice. Born on Christmas in Pittsburgh 1925, she was a delight throughout her life to her family and friends. A son, Clifford J. Kolson II of Pennsylvania, and a daughter, Carol A. Edmonds of Las Cruces, four grandchildren and one great grand child survive her. Carol dedicated herself to teaching first grade throughout her 30 plus years career in Orange County, California. She moved to Las Cruces in 2003. During her life, Carol was artistic and creative becoming accomplished in oil painting, floral design, sculpting and sewing. Whatever she attempted, she did with gusto and aplomb! She was musically inclined and taught herself to play the harpsichord, guitar, organ and piano. Carol was an avid opera lover and was famous for bursting out in song at the drop of a hat. She will be missed. Memorial services are set for Temple Baptist Church, 2300 E. Missouri, Las Cruces, New Mexico 88001 at 4:30 pm, Sunday June 25, 2006. Friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Summer Bible Camp for Kids at Temple Baptist Church (please note Carol Brown's name on the check). PDF Printable Version
