Carolyn Joyce Garland

Carolyn Joyce Garland, 59, lifelong resident of Salem, NM died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008. She was born March 22, 1948 to James and June Franzoy Lytle. Carolyn had worked for the Hatch Public School from 1992 to 2005 and served also as secretary for special events at NMSU. Carolyn was also a member of the Church of God in Hatch, NM. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 42 years Dusty Garland of the family home; son Greg Garland and wife Kelly of Rincon, NM; daughters Misty Peck and husband Patrick of Las Cruces and Cheryl Fifer and husband Danny Ray of Salem, NM; mother June Lytle Rutherford of Salem, NM; brother Jimmy Lytle and sister Sherry Russell and their respective families. Grandchildren William and Hailey Peck, Danica Fifer, Gabrielle, Devon and Teya Garland. Preceding Carolyn in death was her father, James Albert Lytle and stepfather Payne Rutherford. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the Church of God in Hatch, NM with Chaplain Conant Carr officiating. Burial will follow at the Salem Cemetery. Serving, as pallbearers will be Wesley and Rhondo Sloan, Faron and Vernon Lytle, Cody and Ryan Russell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rev. Jim Wood, Nick Carson, Darwin Rooker, Paul Stroik, Loyd Burns, David Robinson, Larry Rutherford, Bill Ballard, Lloyd Loudamay and Raymond Wilson. PDF Printable Version
