Cecilia R. Lalla 90, of Las Cruces, NM formerly of Socorro, NM went to be with her heavenly father on August 30, 2011. Daughter of Carlos Borromeo Romero and Elvira Gallegos Romero, Cecilia was born on December 19, 1920 in Albuquerque but lived her childhood years in Colonias, NM and Santa Rosa, NM. Cecilia R. Lalla 90, of Las Cruces, NM formerly of Socorro, NM went to be with her heavenly father on August 30, 2011. Daughter of Carlos Borromeo Romero and Elvira Gallegos Romero, Cecilia was born on December 19, 1920 in Albuquerque but lived her childhood years in Colonias, NM and Santa Rosa, NM. On June 1, 1957, she married George J. Lalla and moved to Socorro, NM where she lived to for 26 years. After George Lalla's passing, Cecilia moved in with her son and his family, moved to Huntsville, Alabama, and then returned with them to Las Cruces, NM in 1996. Cecilia is survived by her son Michael Lalla, daughter in-law Sharon Lalla, and Grandchildren Christal, Levi, Amber Lalla and her brother Carlos Romero. Cecilia is preceded in death by her husband George Lalla, and her sisters Grace Sisneros and Catherine Sexton and her Brother Silvano Gutierrez. Cecilia had a passion for caring for people. She spent most of her years as a house wife, mother, and grandmother. She raised and took care of her son and grand children as well as helped raise and guide many young family members and friends.
