Charles H. (Charlie) Murray (March 30, 1953 - December 10, 2020) Charles H. Murray, husband, father, brother, Papa, Uncle and always the best friend. Charlie passed away at the age of 67 due to complications of dementia. He passed at home in Las Cruces, NM surrounded by his loving family. Charlie was born in Savannah, Georgia on March, 30, 1953 to Chuck & Helen Murray. Charlie spent most of his childhood as a military brat, living in Savannah; Roswell, NM; Rome, NY; and finally home to Las Cruces. Charlie attended elementary school at Valley View and Jr. High at Lynn Junior High. He then moved to Dallas, TX with his parents and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas. In 1975 his Bro, Jerry Winans, went to Dallas and brought him home to Las Cruces to live until his passing. He worked at Shook Tire for a couple of years. Then he was hired as a Technician at the NASA site East of Las Cruces. Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Marty Murray, of 25 plus years, who was the love of his life. He is also survived by his son, Kenny Murray (Sabrina) of Spokane, WA; daughter, Vanessa Adams, Las Cruces, NM; sisters, Charolette Winans (Jerry), Las Cruces & Sheila Murray, Tor C, NM; Grandsons, Shawn and Brandon Adams, Las Cruces and Donovan Murray, Spokane, WA and very special niece Kim Hernandez (Marc), Gilbert, AZ and special nephew Todd Winans, Lubbock, TX; and many extended family members. Some of his favorite vacations included going to Oklahoma to visit family and to Maui, HI where he parasailed 30 ft in the air, zipped lined and went scuba diving. One of Charlie's life time desires was to attend the NASCAR races which he did, both in Las Vegas and Phoenix! Charlie loved to attend the dirt track races with his friends, Otto, Steve, Terry, Lawrence and many more! Those that went before him to welcome him into heaven are his parents, daughter, Margo Speer, son-n-law, Art Adams, grandparents and aunts & uncles. Because you see he will be showing off his new wings, with racing stripes and flames.
