Charles L. Peterson, 74, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, May 23, 2013. Chuck as he was fondly known was born Nov. 11, 1938 in Grand Forks, N.D. to Clifford and Veronica McDonald Peterson. Chuck served our country honorably during the Vietnam Era as a Tech Sgt. with the US Air Force where he retired with many years of faithful service. Charles L. Peterson, 74, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, May 23, 2013. Chuck as he was fondly known was born Nov. 11, 1938 in Grand Forks, N.D. to Clifford and Veronica McDonald Peterson. Chuck served our country honorably during the Vietnam Era as a Tech Sgt. with the US Air Force where he retired with many years of faithful service. He was a member of the V.F.W., Elks Lodge, Eagles and the LC Rod Runners Car Club, but his passion was for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Chuck is survived by his loving wife Betty Peterson of the family home; sons David Milleson and wife Suzanne of N. Platte, NE, Robert Peterson and wife Melloney, Charles and Joseph Peterson all of Phelan, CA; daughters Debra Milleson Vasquez and husband Vince of N. Platte, NE, JoAnn Fay of Beaumont, CA and Carla Bower and husband J.R. of Phelan, CA; brothers Robert, Vernon and Steve Peterson; sister Dianna Peterson and by numerous grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Alex and Coleman. At his request cremation will take place and his remains will be laid to rest at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with full military honors on June 18, 2013 at 10:00 AM. PDF Printable Version
