Our Loving husband and dad, Charles Mitchell "Mike" Tibbetts, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2007 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Our Loving husband and dad, Charles Mitchell "Mike" Tibbetts, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2007 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. A wonderfully patient and kind man; he will be missed deeply. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Gloria, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, his daughter Tara, son-in-law Darrell and grandson Austin of Brighton, Colorado; daughter Dawn, son-in-law Gregor and grandsons Ian and Mitchell of Albuquerque, New Mexico; uncles Mike and Eugene Lovely and many cousins of Helena, Montana; and his faithful companion dog Sam. Mike was born on November 5, 1940 in Helena, Montana to Norbert and Evelyn Tibbetts. He was raised in Alamogordo, New Mexico before moving to Las Cruces in 1980. He worked many faithful years on various national defense programs. He enjoyed sharing his love of all outdoor sports with young and old. Come celebrate his life with us on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Getz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting to have donations made to Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary located at 144 Wyatt Drive or to a charity of choice. PDF Printable Version
