Charlie Phillip Franzoy, 94 of Salem, NM died Saturday Feb. 25, 2012. He was born June 7, 1917 in Fierro, NM to Joseph and Celestina Franzoy. Charlie Phillip Franzoy, 94 of Salem, NM died Saturday Feb. 25, 2012. He was born June 7, 1917 in Fierro, NM to Joseph and Celestina Franzoy. When Charlie wasn't working hard on the family farm, he was enjoying the outdoors. He loved to go fishing, hunting, prospecting, trapping and playing a hot game of dominos. He also enjoyed spending his time with the love of his life, his granddaughter Maddy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kathryn Franzoy of the family home, son Charles Franzoy and wife Sissy of Hatch, NM, daughters, Tina Cabrales and husband Frank of Hatch, NM, Katherine "Katy" Lucero of Hatch, NM, and sister June Rutherford and brother Alex Franzoy of Hatch, NM. He was also survived by grandchildren, Joe, Price, and Maddy Franzoy, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Ann Franzoy, his Parents, four brothers and 3 sisters. A celebration of Charlie's life will start with a prayer vigil at 9:30 am on Thursday March 1, 2012 with a funeral mass to immediately follow at 10:00 am at Our Lord Of Mercy Catholic Church in Hatch, NM with Fr.
