Christopher E. Camunez of Las Cruces (37) died May 17, 2007 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born in El Paso, Texas to Ernest L. and Maureen Camunez on November 3, 1969. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandson, brother and uncle. We will miss him every day of our lives. He is survived by his wife Mary Camunez, children Patrick and Krysta, mother Maureen Camunez, grandmother Jeroldyne Susee all of Las Cruces; sisters Tawni Swanson and husband Lee Swanson of Las Cruces, Lisa Chavez and husband Johnny of Lake Jackson Texas and Lori Alba and husband Chris of Albuquerque, and 7 nieces and 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest L. Camunez, grandmother Katy Camunez, and grandfather Ernest R. Camunez. Chris graduated from Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1985, Las Cruces High School in 1988 and attended Dona Ana Community College for first level EMT certification in 1995. Services will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. Inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery. Officiating will be Fr. Ray Flores.
