Connie M. Gutierrez 76 of Las Cruces died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012. She was born Aug. 12, 1935 in Tinnie, NM to Miguel and Frances Trujillo Romero. Connie was retired after many years of faithful service from the City of Las Cruces. She enjoyed shopping, the outdoors and fishing, but her passion was for her family and grandchildren and the joy that her many nieces and nephews brought h...
Connie M. Gutierrez 76 of Las Cruces died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012. She was born Aug. 12, 1935 in Tinnie, NM to Miguel and Frances Trujillo Romero. Connie was retired after many years of faithful service from the City of Las Cruces. She enjoyed shopping, the outdoors and fishing, but her passion was for her family and grandchildren and the joy that her many nieces and nephews brought her. She is survived by her daughter Frances (Fran) Olona-Gutierrez of the family home; grandchildren Georgette and Kris; Eddie Crain who was more her son than a nephew of Chama, NM; brother Billy Romero and wife Connie of El Paso, TX; sister Lola Parrish and husband Bill of Ruidoso, NM and by numerous other nieces and nephews. Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband Cruz Gutierrez; her son Robert Dale Gutierrez, her parents, Brother Mike Romero and Sister Rose Crain. A prayer vigil will be prayed at 6 PM today Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at the Basilica of San Albino. Connie's funeral mass to celebrate her life will be at 10 AM on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 also at the Basilica of San Albino. Rite of Committal will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The honor of being a pallbearer goes to Bernardo Hurtado, William Romero, Nalon Hopkins, Robert Crain, Danny and Freddie Gutierrez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eddie Crain, grandchildren Georgette and Kris, Ricky Sedillo, Martha Hurtado, Karen Bickel and Billy Romero. PDF Printable Version
