Conrad Ledesma Barrio, age 73, was called home by God, Tuesday, December 19,2023. He was born in Las Cruces, NM on April 5, 1950, to Piedad and David Barrio. Conrad was a 1968 graduate of Las Cruces High School.

Conrad was a gifted musician, who played lead guitar. He learned to play on a guitar his father bought for him from Sears and Roebuck. He drove his mother crazy practicing the same song over and over, until he learned it. At the age of 14 he played with a local teen band, David's Romans. He went on to play with numerous bands throughout his life. While in high school, he played with The New Happy Timers. Later he moved to Phoenix AZ, where he played with the Enrico Brothers. He also played with The Aggregation Band and went on the road with The Syndicate Band, traveling to several different states, including Alaska. Upon moving back to Las Cruces, he played with the Krucez Band, Backstage, The Kicks Band, Rio Band, and finally Phat Soul. Conrad had a passion for music and movies, but it was Conrad's music that truly defined him.

Conrad worked for Valley Transit Mix, Rio Grande Concrete, Jobe, Cemex and GCC. He retired in 2017. Conrad honorably served his country with the New Mexico National Guard. Conrad embraced life with a sense of humor and dedication to those he loved.
