Cynthia was born November 22, 1939 to R.A. and Augusta Smith in Sulphur Springs, TX. After the family moved to Las Cruces she met and married Glen Denney and they made their home in Las Cruces. She Took her final journey home on April 6, 2024.

Cynthia was born November 22, 1939 to R.A. and Augusta Smith in Sulphur Springs, TX. After the family moved to Las Cruces she met and married Glen Denney and they made their home in Las Cruces. She Took her final journey home on April 6, 2024.
Cynthia is survived by her husband of 68 years Glen, a son Jake Denney (Cherie), three daughters Cyndi Ruis (John), Cyrena Rhyne (Bill) and Sandra Denney Hansen, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Cynthia worked for the las Cruces School System in the cafeterias as the “ticket Lady “until her retirement. Her hobbies included decorative painting and quilting. She never met a stranger and would talk to anyone anywhere.
There will be no formal service. A celebration of life will be held On May 4th, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm at the Trails West Community center at 1450 Avenida de Mesilla, Las Cruces, NM. In Lieu of flowers the family request a donation in her memory to St. Jude’s.
