Cynthia Vasquez was called to the Lord on November 16, 2021, in Las Cruces, NM, and was welcomed with open arms by her son, Isaiah. She was born to Jerry and Eliza Vasquez 42 years ago and was a loving partner to Gabriel Murillo for over 17 years and beloved mother of Joseph Matthew. Cynthia loved her son Joseph with all her heart and made sure he had every opportunity to be the best he can be. During Cindy's younger years, she worked at Albertson's as a cake decorator for 17 years. Even after she left Albertson's, people always reached out to Cynthia to make their celebrations special with her creative desserts. Some of her most memorable cakes were a gift for her loving parents when they renewed their twenty fifth anniversary wedding vows, and the cakes for her son Joseph's big birthday parties. When Cynthia had her son, Joseph, she stayed home to care for her family as the family homemaker. She enjoyed trying new dishes and recipes for her family to enjoy. And when she wasn't busy around the house, she spent lots of time being outside on the motorcycles with her son, Joseph. Most recently, Cynthia was the Vice President of One Love Music Ministry. She contributed by posting words of encouragement and scripture from the word of God. She also helped with fundraising, toy drives, events and so much more. She also was very creative with editing pictures, loved cooking for her family and cooking for fundraisers to help others. She also enjoyed traveling and went to Disneyland, the beach, Colorado, Mexico and even close trips to White Sands, Ruidoso, Cloudcroft, and Tombstone. There was never a place Cynthia went and didn't know someone. Trips anywhere with Cynthia were always met with people seeing their friend and stopping to catch up. Everywhere she went, Cindy knew someone. And if she didn't, she always reached out made a new friend. Cynthia was truly the light in the darkness with a bright smile that illuminated the room. We will always remember Cynthia for having a smile on her face. She was truly a blessing and life on earth won't be the same without her. Those left to mourn her include her loving partner Gabriel Murillo, their beloved son, Joseph Matthew Vasquez Murillo, her parents Jerry and Eliza Vasquez, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Cynthia was proceeded in death by her son Isaiah Vasquez Murillo. Pallbearers will be Basilio Murillo Jr., Jeff Giger, Tito Salazar, Tom Vasquez, Bobby Spedalieri, and Juan Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jose Robles and Paul Wilson. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, December 6, 2021, at Getz Funeral Home with prayer services by Pastor Sellers.
