Cyrila DeBlassie passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the age of 78. She is survived by 3 children: Dante, Adele (& Randy), and Roland (& Christine). She is also survived by 1 grandson: Alexander (& Caitlin), as well as 4 siblings: Berlene, Nellie (& Richard), Gabriel (& Sue), and Linda. Cyrila DeBlassie passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the age of 78. She is survived by 3 children: Dante, Adele (& Randy), and Roland (& Christine). She is also survived by 1 grandson: Alexander (& Caitlin), as well as 4 siblings: Berlene, Nellie (& Richard), Gabriel (& Sue), and Linda. Cyrila's surviving brothers & sisters-in-law are: Paul (& Priscilla), Betty, and Lawrence (& Barbara) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cyrila was preceded in death by her ever-devoted husband, Richard as well as her parents Ben & Trene and brother-in-law Donald & wife Gerri. Cyrila taught first grade at Mesilla Park Elementary School for more than 30 years where she touched the lives of a legion of children who will fondly and lovingly remember her as she did them. The DeBlassie family would like to thank Home Instead and Mesilla Valley Hospice for all of their assistance in a difficult time. A special thank you goes to Cyrila's devoted and loving caregivers: Larieann, Leanna, Liz, Maria, Molly, Sherry and Vicki for their loving care. A prayer vigil will be at 6:30 pm on Friday, April 12, 2013 at St. Albert the Great Newman Center. A memorial mass to celebrate her life is at 1 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013 also at St. Albert the Great Newman Center with Fr. Michael Cerreto officiating. Rite of Committal for her remains will follow at St. Albert the Great Columbarium.
