Dana Mae Williams of Ruidoso, N.M., went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021. This magnificent woman was born in Las Cruces, N.M., to Don and Dorothy Hatch on Oct. 3, 1963. While she spent 41 years as a hairdresser in Ruidoso, N.M., she served no greater role than as the best wife and mother to her husband of 35 years, Mark, and her two sons, Marcus and Sam. Dana was bigger than life and lived one filled with adventure. She loved to travel and throughout her travels, she never met a stranger. She spent summers with her family and extended family on the shores of Bristol Bay, Alaska, where they fished for salmon to bring back to Southern New Mexico. She also had a special bond with the shores of Puerto Penasco, Mexico, where her family traveled often to enjoy the warm beaches and sunshine. Dana brought that sunshine back with her to everywhere she went. Dana's spirit of love and joy could be felt by all those blessed to know her. Dana's greatest passion was loving Jesus and doing her best to share his light. That light shines on through Mark, Marcus, and Sam, who survive her, along with her sister, Donna, and her brother, Harry. The celebration of Dana's life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, at Enchanted Vine (492 Fort Stanton Road, Alto, NM 88312). It is Dana's wish that in lieu of flowers that you donate money in her honor to support the Esperanza Children's Home in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. Your donations can be made at www.willbrosco.com.
