Daniel "Danny" Ramon Martinez, age 45, entered into rest on September 19th, 2021, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was born April 13th, 1976, in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Francisco and Josefina Martinez. Danny graduated from Alamogordo High School, class of 1995. He worked as a roofer for 20+ years under Sun City Roofing and Padilla Roofing and took great pride in the skilled work that he completed. Danny was left-handed, and like research shows, he had a creative streak- he was an amazing artist who loved to create elaborate drawings ranging from cartoon to realism. He also had a "green-thumb" and surprised many with some of the best luck at gardening vegetables such as tomatoes and peppers. Danny had a tough guy exterior, but a good heart nonetheless, with a soft spot for helping others, often checking on his elderly friends and making sure they had groceries and were taken care of, as well as enjoying beverages with friends. Danny is survived by his parents- Francisco and Josefina Martinez of Alamogordo, New Mexico, his son- Gavin Findley age 11 of Silver City, New Mexico, two older brothers- Jesus Macias and wife Maria "Meche" Macias; Frank Martinez Jr and his partner Bea Quintana, three older sisters- Maria Macias, Yolanda Martinez, and Lucy Madril and husband Chris Madril, all of Alamogordo, New Mexico, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and an endless amount of other extended family members and friends. Under the care and direction of Getz Funeral Home, a viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. for family and 2:00 p.m. for friends and public at The Worship Center located at 801 E. 10th St. In Alamogordo, New Mexico. A service will begin at 2:30 p.m. officiated by Pastor Justin Crispin and Pastor Jeff Sowers, with a reception to follow immediately after. "To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die."
