Danny Joe Hopper, 55, of Las Cruces, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009. He was born Oct. 9, 1953 in Las Cruces to Harold "Hoppe" and Mary King Hopper. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. Danny will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. Danny Joe Hopper, 55, of Las Cruces, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009. He was born Oct. 9, 1953 in Las Cruces to Harold "Hoppe" and Mary King Hopper. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. Danny will be deeply missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife Nora Hopper of Las Cruces; son Daniel Hopper and wife Linda of Las Cruces; daughter Sheila Hopper and husband Ricky Bardwell of Las Cruces; brother Wayne Hopper of Amarillo, TX; sister Sharon Wasson of Tucson, AZ and by his grandchildren Hannah and Jennifer Hopper, Tia and Cody Bardwell. Danny was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home with Rev. Bonny Allen Rice officiating.
