Our beloved friend, father, husband and Opa passed away January 31st, 2022 at the age of 87 in Las Cruces, NM.
He was born on September 23rd, 1934 in San Antonio TX. and eventually moved to Las Cruces, NM in the late 1950's. He is preceded in death by his parents Darwin B. Sr. and Elsie B. Norgard, sister Myrna McCully and wife of 39yrs, Rita M. Norgard.

He was born on September 23rd, 1934 in San Antonio TX. and eventually moved to Las Cruces, NM in the late 1950's. He is preceded in death by his parents Darwin B. Sr. and Elsie B. Norgard, sister Myrna McCully and wife of 39yrs, Rita M. Norgard.
Darwin is survived by his sister Duane Denison, daughters Cathy Y. Jimenez (Joe) and Nancy Gadbois. Son Mark Norgard (Aimee). Grandchildren, Dylan G. Miller, Ashley Walker, Janae and Gabe Gadbois, and great grandchildren Kennedy and Owen Walker as well as Karen Cox (previous marriage) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Darwin reached the highest rank of ROTC as a senior in high school and was drafted into the Army in 1956 where he spent the next two years at White Sands Proving Grounds (as it was known back then). After his military service, Darwin was hired by Raytheon. His career with them included many years spent here and abroad and eventually retired after 40 years of service as an anti-missile guidance systems specialist. He was an avid bowler and a long-standing member of the bowling community which included the ABC and the LCUSBC while most recently winning several medals in the Senior Bowling Olympics. Darwin also enjoyed golfing, playing darts and pool, fishing and camping but especially enjoyed just spending time with friends and family.

At his request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 11th at 1:30pm at Getz Funeral Home Chapel
