He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on June 27, 1936 to Marlowe Criswell and Alma Grace Anderson, both deceased.
David is survived by his wife Doris Anderson, his daughter Deborah Martinez, son-in-law Christopher Martinez and two grandchildren, Allison Martinez and William Ty Martinez.
David was preceded in death by his only sister, Karen Matlock.
As a boy, David's interest in ham radio and engineering began when he was 9 years old. After high school, he attended and graduated from Moody Bible institute in Chicago, Illinois, He was then drafted and served in the United States Army for two years. After getting married to Doris, they both went to Kwajalein, Marshall Islands as civil servants with Western Electric for 2 years. They came back to the states and David graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (physics Option) with High Honors from New Mexico State University. He was employed and retired as an electronic engineer at White Sands Missile Range where he worked for the defense department. During all of this, he was and remained a Ham Radio operator, his final call letters are (KJ5r), CWops # 2871. He also had many interests such as welding, painting, building various machines. We, his family, are going to miss this wonderful loving man. We love you, David.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
