David C. Tomei, 41, of Las Cruces, died Monday May 21, 2007. He was born July 30, 1965 in Flint, Michigan to Lester and Elizabeth Hankerd Tomei. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go camping and fishing but he had a passion for cooking where he excelled. David C. Tomei, 41, of Las Cruces, died Monday May 21, 2007. He was born July 30, 1965 in Flint, Michigan to Lester and Elizabeth Hankerd Tomei. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go camping and fishing but he had a passion for cooking where he excelled. He will be forever deeply missed by all his family and many friends who knew and loved him. His mother Elizabeth Tomei of the family home; brother Joseph Tomei and wife Cindy of Taylor, TX; sisters Patricia Wendt and husband Rick of Lorena, TX, Carol Tomei of Las Cruces and Janice Bathman of Richardson, TX, survive him; nieces Nicole Wendt, Anne-Marie Robles, Samantha Bathman and Erin Tomei; nephews Jaye Patrick Jaquess, Jacob Bathman, Max Bathman and Ryan Tomei. His aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive David. His father Lester Tomei preceded him in death. Memorial Services to celebrate David's life will be held on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 4:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Msgr. John Anderson officiating.
