Dave, age 77, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2023, at his home in Las Cruces, NM, surrounded by loving family members. The good Lord was gracious, and spared him the severe pain expected to accompany the aggressive nature of his cancer. He was an amazing friend, an excellent husband, a great father, and a joy of a grandfather. He was always honest, trustworthy, and hard-working. His sincerity always attracted others to seek him out for someone who was genuine and caring. Dave's vision for retirement was to use his Christian training, and this invisible pull from within him, to draw people together in fellowship. Dave was a phenomenal cook, artist, and woodworker. He implemented his signature enthusiasm for color, creativity, and happiness in every beautifully handmade project. If you were fortunate enough to be on his email list, you would certainly have been entertained by his satirical writing style. His creative talents and strong influence is obvious to see as it manifests itself in so many ways through his son and grandchildren, whom he loved very much. As a tribute to his memory, we invite you to make a donation towards making his Vision a Reality: that his home in Las Cruces be a hub of fellowship for friends and neighbors to come together. (https://gofund.me/85920583) A memorial ceremony will be held at Getz Funeral Home to honor Dave's veteran status and service to our country. His memory lives on in the lives that he touched, and he will be greatly missed by all. 13 "enter through the narrow gate ; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14. For the gate is narrow and the way constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.' Matthew 7:13 - 14
